vi/kyhiMz Essential Functions Prepare, update, and oversee successful implementation of security procedures for security officers.
Train security officers using written procedures and safety rules, to increase job knowledge and expertise.
Inspect, observe, and evaluate security officer's daily activities in order to monitor and communicate individuals' quality of work and overall performance as they progress.
Knowledge of, and capable of performing, all the duties associated with the basic post/patrol officer(s) assignments and work tasks.
Responsible for the actions of all the security officers during his/her shift.
May be responsible for scheduling and assigning specific duties to officers.
Supervise security officer performance and take immediate and remedial action to correct deficiencies and discrepancies.
Ensure security officers reporting to work are fit for duty (uniforms, appearance, etc.
).
Full working knowledge of all post equipment including access control system(s), communication systems, telephones, alarm systems, screening machines, security and related hand tools.
Train and coach security officers on their duties and responsibilities.
Assures security officer actions are in line with operating protocols, post and patrol orders and aviation directives.
Check all equipment assigned to security posts and to ensure full working order.
Review and approve all daily post and patrol logs, notices, memos and incident reports.
Verify all security officers have read and understand any new or changed orders or procedures.
Ensure security officers understand and can perform new assignments and tasks.
Ensure security officers understand and can demonstrate all emergency duties assigned to each post.
Efficiently and effectively, schedule and assign security officers to duty shifts and security posts making effective use of the work force and considering special factors.
Inspect security posts to ensure they are fully operational, clean and in good state of repair and that all necessary basic supplies are available.
Be able to identify and deny access of prohibited items.
Ensure all security posts are covered.
In case of unannounced absences, call available security officers in for duty while holding over others to cover until relief officers arrive.
Coordinate assistance from the Project Manager to solve special situations.
Ensure all incident reports are fully reviewed, approved and forwarded to the Project Manager.
Call additional supervisory personnel immediately if the incident is of a serious nature.
Responsible for vehicle patrols of the facility.
Other related duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Must be at least 21 years old.

National, or Lawful Permanent Resident Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to perform all functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Knowledgeable about each security post, direct access point and applicable post orders At least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in security, military, or law enforcement operations.
Must be able to provide a local address and phone number.
Must be neat, well-groomed and present a professional appearance.
Complete a Defensive Driving Course as assigned by CAS management.
