Prior experience in doggie daycare/boarding or animal-related setting a plus.
Bi-lingual a plus.
SUMMARY OF POSITION Responsible for maintaining a positive client/pet experience that follows Pearland Barkway's Mission and Core Values.
Ensure that each pet is treated with respect, is comfortable and safe, and is cared for in adherence to all Company Policies and Standards.
Partner with co-workers and Daycare/Lodging Manager to complete potty breaks, meal times, lodging cleaning, facility cleaning and maintenance, while monitoring animal health and behavior, providing excellent client service, and any other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Deliver outstanding client service and guest experiences through knowledge of products services and benefits available through Pearland Barkway.
- Follow through with all commitments made to clients and/or other Pearland Barkway team members in a timely manner.
- Execute activities assigned by Daycare/Lodging Manager for daily, weekly and monthly chores.
- Partner with co-workers to ensure proper supervision and care of pets according to Policies and Procedures.
- Communicate any supply and/or repair needs to the Daycare/Lodging Manager.
- Ensure all necessary documentation of meals, potty breaks and that all interactions are completed.
- Complete pet's intro and exit evaluations.
- Ensure each pet received outstanding service by providing safe, enjoyable experience during each and every interaction.
- Thoroughly read Lodging enclosure cards before each interaction, even with familiar pets.
- Clean lodging and daycare areas in accordance to Policies and Procedures.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Demonstrate high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with clients, co-workers and vendors.
- Demonstrate high level of quality of work, attendance and appearance.
- Adhere to local, state and federal employment laws.
- Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
- Any additional duties assigned by the Daycare/Lodging Manager.
- Ensure Daycare department is adequately staffed.

- Able to work flexible shifts including morning, afternoons and evenings, weekends and some holidays - Able to be flexible and willing to work extended hours and/or cover team members' shifts for time off, when necessary PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Standing or walking 90% of scheduled shifts - Required to lift, move and carry up to 40lbs - Ability to control and walk a dog with a leash - Ability to use a ladder and/or step stool - Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation and reports - Not afraid of dogs nor have any allergies to pets - Ability to clean up after dogs (urine, feces and occasionally blood and/or vomit) Job Types:
