00 Overview The Summer Associate is to provide services to the legal counsel and other staff members in the Legal Department.
Note:
This position is a short-term, temporary, 6-week internship.
This is an in-office opportunity only- hybrid or remote options are not available.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
Prepare initial drafts of legal pleadings at the direction of the attorneys Prepare initial drafts of contracts at the direction of attorneys Negotiate contracts Assist attorneys in the coordination of discovery in litigation Research legal matters Prepare memoranda of legal issues Draft and/or revise policy and procedure documents at the direction of attorneys Gather and obtain evidence, as necessary, in support of disputes, lawsuits, trademark filings, and regulatory matters Assist attorneys with collecting background information on property damage, potential new vendors, and for other miscellaneous purposes Maintain confidentiality Perform other duties as required and/or assigned Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation The position requirements include, but are not limited:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
